take a gap year!

Ok i haven't posted in aaaages but i have an acceptable excuse. I failed to mention in previous posts that i am currently on a gap year and have been travelling- mostly round SE Asia for the past six weeks. Arrived home on Saturday night and am pretty depressed to be back in rainy London compared to the beaches of Thailand and the mega malls of Malaysia (seriously i've never seen such malls!) My first destination was Hong Kong and all i was thinking when i was there was 'i must come back with tons of money so i can raid these shops'. The shopping was amazing but due to my tight budget i couldn't take full advantage. I will definately be back loaded with credit cards.

Thailand was amazing, we travelled around the country for three weeks, staying in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Krabi. Couldn't even tell you my favourite place because they were all equally amazing. Only stayed in Bangkok for 2 days unfortunately, would have liked to stay for longer. Chiang Mai was our adventure holiday- trekking, rafting, elephant riding, playing with tigers! Then Phuket and Krabi were the relaxation spots, with amazing beaches and islands,  great night life, and lively night markets open til late.

(Do not be fooled by the picture- we played with the big tigers too!)

Next up was Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, which has the most impressive malls ever. Makes Westfield in London look tiny! I think the smallest one we saw was about 4 or 5 floor, and really...not that small at all. I was even more impressed when i saw Topshop in our local mall. Conveniently it was sale time as well so luck was on my side.

This was our local mall, connected to our hotel- Midvalley Megamall.

The Pavilion Mall- 7 amazing levels

Lastly it was another relaxation holiday in Bali, Indonesia. One of the most beautiful places i have ever been and i have the pictures to prove it.

So that is why there has been a recent delay in posting. Now i'm back so i'll make it my mission to post often (even though i don't think anyone reads them) but ah well. I have six weeks of magazine catch up and shopping to do so i better get started!
